Zenno App

0/0

Who and Why:
Parents want to be well-informed about their children in school, especially kindergarten.
In general, they want to know how they are cared for, what activities are involved, their behavior and even their dietary routine.

How it usually works:
The student’s diary is the main communication channel between parents and teachers; However, it is faulty in many points, as teachers almost have no time to report student activities.

Solution:
The Zenno mobile app allows parents to monitor, at any time, the activities and routine of their children at school. They are notified of school events and use the app as the main communication channel with school while teachers take advantage of the easy and quick way to jot down activities.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

FOCUS GROUP
BENCHMARKING
PROTOTYPING
USER TESTING

Process:

  1. UNDERSTANDING AND DEFINING THE PROBLEM

After some focus group sessions we better understood the routine of parents and teachers and how they’ve been using the student diary for communication.

So that the needs of main personas (parents, teachers and coordinators) were mapped out and turned into user requirements, flow charts were created to demonstrated how the app should work.

2. DEFINING THE SOLUTION (REQUIREMENTS & FLOWS)

3. SKETCHING AND PROTOTYPING

Then some sketches were validated with the team, before starting prototyping the MVP (minimum viable product).

The functional prototype was built with Axure, after many iterations cycles with the team.

4. TESTING

It was then tested out with real users, resulting in an experience report with all issue and improvement recommendations.
